The Nevada Department of Corrections announces the release of O.J Simpson from prison. The famous prisoner was finally released from the Lovelock Correctional Center in Northern Nevada at exactly 12:08 a.m. on Sunday, October 1.
His latest release from prison ultimately lays to rest all speculations over his exact date and time of release.
O.J Simpson’s attorney Malcolm LaVergne earlier expressed doubts that the famous prisoner would be released on Sunday. But O.J Simpson has now walked free and Brooke Keast, a spokeswoman with the Nevada DOC confirmed his eventual release.
No One Knows His Final Destination or Who Picked Him Up From Prison
There were undisclosed plans to take him to the High Desert State Prison immediately following his release. But O.J Simpson was eventually released directly from Lovelock due to security concerns. According to Keast:
“We had to make sure that we could do this safely and without incident. And we did.”
The prison authorities had made it clear that they would not be responsible for transporting O.J Simpson to his desired destinations. They said they would only be concerned with releasing him safely and without any incidents or unnecessary public attention.
So they had released him on a weekend and at 12:08 a.m.
Keast revealed no one exactly knows who picked up the famous prisoner immediately after his release or where he is taken. There had been speculations that he would spend some time with family and his children when he leaves prison before heading out to Florida.
No photographs of him were taken when he left the prison facility.
