Once out of prison, O.J. Simpson wants between $3 million and $5 million for his first media interview, a source close to him said. (He must need this money to live the lavish lifestyle of eating steaks, playing golf, and finance his new iPhone.)

The Story of The Juice & The Robbery

O.J. Simpson spent nine years out of 33 years in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping. He was sentenced for leading a gang of men to attack a sports memorabilia dealer inside a Las Vegas hotel room.

The famous prisoner had claimed at the time that he only went to retrieve memorabilia earlier stolen from him.

O.J. Simpson was a famous football legend and exemplary businessman before his incarceration. And it seems his business wits and shrewdness had not been left behind in prison.

The Juice’s First Media Interview Since Lovelock Prison Release

According to sources, his team has reached out to certain media outlets to determine if they would be ready to pay for an exclusive interview with the famous prisoner. His team says the man of the moment would consider anything within $3 million to $5 million to grant an exclusive interview.

Major Networks Say They Do Not Pay For Interviews… And So?

OJ Simpson was acquitted of the murders of Ron Goldman and ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson 22 years ago today.

Some of the media personalities with deep enough pockets to offer O.J. Simpson pay for his first media interview are:

  • NBC – Matt Lauer, Megyn Kelly and Lester Holt
  • ABC – Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan
  • CBS – Oprah Winfrey now hosts CBS’s “60 Minutes”

These are all big media networks, and they insist they do not pay for personality interviews. But some of these major networks have been known to dole out large amounts of money to license images and videos.

If ABC and NBC have shelled out huge money to license images and videos in the past, perhaps they would do it again to “license videos” and exclusive images of O.J. Simpson.

“He is not talking for free,” a source close to Simpson insisted. “It has to be the big one because he’s only going to do it one time and it has to be worth his while.”

The family source added that O.J, Simpson got exclusive jail photos that people have never seen before. And any major news network or media show could cash in on these materials to clinch a rewarding deal.

If O.J. Simpson Makes Any Money Now, the Government Will Seize It

There is however a problem: the government may seize any money that O.J. Simpson makes now. This is largely because he owes the family of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, to the tune of $25 million.

Ron Goldman's family isn't happy about his release. But, they are determined to see civil justice be done. They may get it if he takes in $5 million for his first media interview.

He also owes another $8.5 million to the family of Ronald Goldman. Both Brown Simpson and Goldman were found murdered outside her home in 1994.

The Juice was acquitted of both murders in The Trial of the Century. But, he later lost in civil court when the Brown and Goldman families sued him for the wrongful deaths of their loved ones.

O.J. Simpson still reportedly gets a $25,000 monthly pension from NFL and another $5 million pension from the Screen Actor’s Guild. These pensions are protected against creditors and legal judgments.

Now 70, O.J. Simpson is also eligible for Social Security, which nothing can touch.
